The CFAB Scholarship Fund

The CFAB Scholarship Fund encourages young Alaskans, whose families earn their livelihoods from fishing, agriculture, tourism, and natural resource industries, to continue their education beyond high school. Assisting in developing future community leaders through education is vital to the communities, industries, and families CFAB serves.

In 2025, the CFAB Scholarship Fund will award four students with up to $3,500 each. prior recipients of the scholarship award may reapply for this scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria – Applicant must be:

·         Under the age of 26 and an Alaska resident.

·         A child, descendant, or spouse of an Alaska Commercial Fishing and Agriculture Bank (CFAB) member, employee or director of CFAB.

·         A candidate for a degree (or for issuance of a certificate that verifies satisfactory completion of all required courses, training, and testing at an institution that does not issue degrees) at an accredited college, trade school, apprenticeship, or vocational-technical school.

Applications opened January 15, 2025.
